Life of Sudhir Choudhrie
Sudhir Choudhrie is a 71-year-old entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is best known for running companies like the Cardiology Professor at Columbia University Medical Center and the Transplant Foundation. As a young man, Sudhir Choudhrie suffered a heart attack. But instead of dwelling on his physical problems, he focused his energy on helping others. He has since become a role model for many people who are facing similar challenges. His commitment to practicing gratitude throughout life means he will never forget his blessings, even if he faces adversity. Sudhir Choudhrie believes that a grateful mind leads to success.
Born in Delhi, India, in 1949, Choudhrie’s dad died when he was just eight years old. He grew up an orphan in poverty. When his health began to decline, his mother took him to see two doctors, both of whom told her she couldn’t afford expensive treatment. After hearing about the cost of surgery, which meant losing a kidney, she made the decision to save money instead.
However, as Sudhir Choudhrie grew older, his heart started skipping beats — a situation that would lead to major heart failure later in life. But he chose not to worry about it because it didn’t stop him from doing what he loved. He did well in school and attended college, where he studied economics. In 1974 he founded his own company, New Horizon Industries Ltd., which became one of India’s largest real estate developers.
According to Sudhir Choudhrie, a transplant is the beginning of a new stage of life. It provides hope for survival and longer life. It gives you the chance to start again with a clean slate, free from the burden of illness. But it doesn’t mean it is the end. You still have to enjoy life and strive towards a healthy lifestyle.
