Andy Wirth and His Ski Resort

Within the last five years, one ski resort in particular has made a large comeback. This ski resort is the Squaw Valley Ski Resort and is widely known as the beautiful ski resort that was the host of the 1960 Winter Olympics. This ski resort has been around for the past 70 years and has been a family business among the members of the Cushing family.

For generations, this resort has been passed down and has now been officially passed down to Andy Wirth. Andy Wirth is a well known lover of nature. Even in his early years, Andy Wirth has always been interested in combining luxury, business, with nature.

Though Andy Wirth is not a member of the Cushing family, his excellent business skills are what eventually earned him the job as the CEO and the President of the business. Andy Wirth was handed to position to by Nancy Cushing, the previous CEO of the Squaw Valley Ski Resort.

This beautiful ski resort is located in one of the most beautiful areas around the world. Though the resort itself had been fading away for quite some time, Mr. Wirth is proud to say that the resort is now making a comeback. In recent news, the ski resort was purchased by KSL Capital Partners which has been able to act as an investors and a benefactor to the ski resort.

As a result of this new purchase, Andy Wirth has been able to put in over $70 million into renovating this resort. The money has specifically gone into remodeling the ski slopes as well as bringing the entirety of the resort up to date and modern for the visitors.  Learn more about Andy Wirth:

Despite the current drought, Andy Wirth and his team have been able to make this ski resort bigger than ever. Mr. Wirth and his team have merged together two of the top resorts in the Olympic Valley into one of the largest ski resort to visit.

With the drought in mind, the KCRW radio station wanted to interview Andy Wirth for the purpose of having him speak on behalf of the individual business owners in the ski resort.

Though Andy Wirth states that many ski resorts have been faltering, Andy Wirth also states that it is not impossible to thrive during this drought.

As an example, Andy Wirth stated that he began making new investments into other industries. Andy Wirth hopes to use these new investments in order to use water in a more efficient and effective manner.
